As spread of COVID-19 increases Munich plans for beer restrictions

Munich, the German city, which is known as the Beer Capital in the country, has decided to significantly limit the sales and consumption of alcohol in public places, if COVID-19 cases continue to rise. The Munich Mayor Dieter Reite said it is difficult but The number of confirmed infections per 100,000 residents rise above 35 over a seven-day period, alcohol sales would be prohibited after 9:00 p.m. and its consumption in public would be banned after 11:00 p.m.

The Bavarian capital on Monday, August 24, reported 30.92 new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people over the last week. Munich hosts the famous annual beer festival of Oktoberfest, which has been cancelled this autumn.
