Following the end of the state of emergency in Latvia water counter inspections, replacement and repeated verification have restarted once again. This is why residents of residential homes are urged to provide access to counters installed in their apartments, Economy Ministry reminds.
The ministry points out that water consumption counter repeated verification in homes in which apartment owners have not taken over house management rights are to be performed before the end of the repeated verification term, whereas apartment owners in houses that have are able to do that in three months after the end of the repeated verification term.
As it is known, following the introduction of the state of emergency to limit the spread of COVID-19 it was decided to postpone the repeated verification of water consumption counters that were due for verification during the state of emergency. Verification of these counters needs to be performed within three months after the end of the state of emergency: 10 June to 10 September, respectively.
Additionally, if water consumption counters’ repeated verification term ended three months after the end of the state of emergency, their verification term is to be extended until 10 September.
